Wanpa-rda Matilda Outback Education Centre

In 1996, working in partnership with Education Queensland, the Workers Heritage Centre initiated the development of this learning centre with attached residential facilities and an in-house catering service.

Since then, this first class excursion facility has given thousands of students the chance to explore this remarkable part of Australia's outback and to discover first-hand their rich history and heritage.

Coming to Wanpa-rda is experiencing school camps the easy way. We can customise and develop a unique itinerary to suit the requirements of each student touring group. Students are offered the highest quality learning experience beyond the classroom, with camp programs and tours all aligned to Australian Curriculum, ensuring each experience is engaging, educational and entertaining from breakfast to supper.
